Welcome

Welcome to our blog. Our family has recently embarked on an incredible journey. We have moved from our small town in the United States to a large city in Southeast Asia. The adjustments are going to be many and we want to share our adventure with you. We have been led to this country with a two fold purpose. Kenny will begin honing his photography skills and put them to work. And of course, as followers of Chri$t, we pray that we will be salt and light to those we encounter and build relationships with along the way. We hope you enjoy our journey and come back often!

Something Cool

One of the neat things about living here is all the opportunities the kids have to do things here that they might not be able to do in the States. The cost of taking music lessons like piano or guitar back home is enough that we would not be able to afford to send the kids. Here, Kenna is taking piano lessons and Bre has taken drum lessons for free simply because it is a community of like minded people in similar situations who just want to help one another. It is an amazing thing to be a part of!
Another thing Bre has been able to do here that she would most likely not be doing in the States is modeling. The photographers who took her photos a month or so ago called her again and asked if she would be interested in working with them again. Of course she said yes!
This time was a little different from the last time. His helper this time was a very nice girl who spoke English very well. That helped Bre to be able to relax more. And they also did the shoot at the photographer's studio and there was another model there who she worked with. That is Bre in a black wig. The theme this time was like a Goth/Rock-n-Roll.
Bre put on heals for the first time in her life yesterday and those heals were about four inches high. She was so tall it was scary!
They put black hair extensions in her hair to darken it up. She seems to really be enjoying doing this. The girl who modeled with her is seventeen and already has a career in the business. Bre said she was very nice and they told her she could have a really good career here as well. We would have to pray about that for a long time before we let that happen! But she can have fun doing what she is doing for now!
(I couldn't resist putting up a picture of Bre standing next to Kenny after she put on her heals. Told you it was scary!)
