Welcome

Welcome to our blog. Our family has recently embarked on an incredible journey. We have moved from our small town in the United States to a large city in Southeast Asia. The adjustments are going to be many and we want to share our adventure with you. We have been led to this country with a two fold purpose. Kenny will begin honing his photography skills and put them to work. And of course, as followers of Chri$t, we pray that we will be salt and light to those we encounter and build relationships with along the way. We hope you enjoy our journey and come back often!

While We Wait

We came back from Bali with three weeks left of our time here.  As we began to gather things from around the house so we could start the packing process Ethan and Kenna decided to find their own way of entertaining themselves.

They made their own ping-pong paddles and net that they set up on our dining room table.  We managed to keep it up for several days.  Then they decided it would be more fun to help pack, so the net came down and we all got to work.

Kenna wanted to keep her Bali braids in until we got back to the states so everyone could see them.  What she didn't count on was coming back home and getting sick.  That resulted in her staying in bed more than she normally would thus messing up the braids more than normal (even though I don't think they would have lasted for three weeks anyway).  So, after five days she decided she was ready to get rid of them.

It took Bree, Ethan and me about twenty minutes to get all the braids out.  This is the result.  She decided she liked this look enough to keep it for another couple of days before we finally had to wash it.  She is just one of those kids who looks cute no matter what she does!
